I felt zealous this week, so I wrote two of Laurie’s Reflections for the Course Workbook Lessons. Blessings and love!

 Lesson 48: “There is nothing to fear.”

 This lesson explains,” The presence of fear is a sure sign that you are trusting in your own strength.

“The awareness that there is nothing to fear shows that somewhere in your mind, though not necessarily in a place you recognize yet, you have remembered God and let His strength take the place of your weakness.”

Fear is mighty and challenging and makes my mind crazy and miserable, so I am grateful that the Course explains that since God is my and our strength. This news means that I can be entirely safe in the world and my life because God is Supreme and all-powerful.

God has all of the power in the Universe in His Essence because God designed the Universe this way. So we can be sure God can take care of us and give us all the abundance of worldly goods because God loves us so much.

God also will keep us safe because we are innocent and lovable when we know. When we remember our innocence, there is no way to hurt ourselves because we are immune to damage when we walk around in our state of God’s certainty. After all, God loves us so much; then, there is no way to get into a position where we are damaged in life.

God is robust, so we can trust that God will take action to help us while we go through life and find problems there. God will be there and Present to get us into another more elevated and position place because God supports all of us completely.

The Course explains that fear is eradicated when we are willing to take active steps to release fear. We need to take the time and effort to take proactive steps for healing our minds of all the fear because we can do this if we are willing to participate in doing this ourselves.

Healing ourselves is an inside job: we need to take care of our own healing business. We need to celebrate the terrific option and capability to heal our minds by releasing the proactive fear steps.

The Course reminds us how powerful we are because we can heal ourselves. We need to be willing to make an effort to do it. The Course reminds us how amazing it is that we can take responsibility for our minds and thoughts because we have the option and can initiate steps in the process. This information about God is the best thing ever.

Lesson 49: “God’s voice speaks to me all through the day.”

This lesson reminds us, “Try to hear God’s Voice call to you lovingly, reminding you that Your Creator has not forgotten His Son.” I love the sweet message here that God will lovingly remind us to remember, so I am so glad and grateful that God will be kind and helpful, appropriate and lovely. I am happy for this translation for myself in how God treats me.

I have a history of being Catholic for the earlier part of my life, and the God I believed in then would never be kind and gentle and sweet in HIs message. I thought God was all about hell and damnation, so I believed God would punish me to all extremes, so I am so grateful to learn the Course’s message of God saying God is so kind and generous.

 The Course also explains that we have access to God’s council at all times by simply asking for it and then being assured we will get it. I love that God is with me all the time and that I can find His mind in my mind, and I can get direction about which way to go when I am willing to ask.

The Course calls the part of God that communicates to us as the Holy Spirit. So the Holy Spirit is our pathfinder and helper with directions. When we ask the Holy Spirit for help, we need to trust that it will come. We need to be open to listening to avoid missing His message and comment.
