Lesson 360: “What am I?” “Peace be to me, the holy Son of God. Peace be to my brother, who is one with me. Let all the world be blessed with peace through us.”
We just need to remember that God gives us the magical prescription that is the antidote for fear in whatever form fear takes, whether it is anger, resentment, sadness or another.
However fear may look externally, it still has that constricting energy about it that needs desperately to be treated with love.
This lesson says, “And as he sees the gate of Heaven stand open before him, he will enter in and disappear into the Heart of God.”
The Course is teaching us how to live bravely.
We hear that we can disappear into the Heart of God.
The ego panics about disappearing!!
The ego feels so strongly that it wants to stay in the body and adequately intact until the end of eternity. Our egos fear the unknown and fear change.
The Course is giving us that potent dose of courage to simply stand up and be willing to make a different reality for ourselves.
Jesus tells us we can disappear and asks us to just surrender any of that left over fear we have and give it to God’s altar to be healed.
We are asked to give our fear the right to sit down and be quiet. We learn we disappear into nothing into God.
This means we will be happy about it because we will remember we get to melt into God, completely joined with Him.
This is a happy thing because we finally get to the place where we give up that fear within and just have an easy intention of wanting to feel God.
There will never be a moment we are not secure and certain the true part of us- that we identify with God- is perfectly intact.
We just need to have the courage to be willing to disappear from the ego’s mind.
Finding the courage is our gifts to ourselves.
We are asked to feel our fear as it is and show up anyway to ask God to release our minds from it. Then, when the fear is gone, so is our resistance to joining with God in the only true way we can join.
That means we can do it with joy and comfort because we have given our fear to God.
We can fear dissolving into God because that ego identify we cling to, but this is the way to set ourselves free.
When we release that hold the ego has on our ego identity, this allows us truly a peaceful mind.
