Lesson 38: “There is nothing my holiness cannot do.”

This lesson says, “Your holiness reverses all the laws of the world.”

The world says that the only power is the ego’s push for strength.  The ego is always pretending to be strong.  But the truth is the ego has zero power.  The ego makes it seem like it is with strength but the ego is insane.

The ego’s power is flimsy and based on false truths and this is why the ego has no true strength.  Nothing lasting or powerful.

The reality of the world is based on nothing lasting because it is not of God. 

This is why we are asked to stay vigilant in the process of reminding ourselves that God’s answer and strength is the only one that will be adequate for us because it is from God Himself.  Thus, God is automatically as powerful as they come.  We are asked to simply realize that we must look to God to give us whatever we need to do what is helpful and appropriate.

God can and will give us all the strength we need if we simply ask with an open heart. 

We don’t have to do anything but be willing to be open to God’s energy and power. 

Our holiness is powerful because it is straight from God. 

We all are deemed holy because God wills it so.  Therefore, we are all fortunate to enjoy experiencing the power of our holiness because God says we can.

We are asked to just not limit God.

The ego always limits everything.

Therefore, from every angle, the ego will always come back with the news that there is limitation everywhere in the world and in our lives. 

The Course reminds us that God is capable beyond what we can imagine and therefore we are asked not to judge God.

When we judge God and declare that God is limited, this is wrong. 

It is a huge error.  

We rare learning to trust that God has no limitations whatsoever.  We are all used to the world’s limitations so we assume everything else will be equally limited.

This is an error because God is perfect, and therefore, no limitation can be part of God if God is perfect.

 Therefore, we are asked to simply make a logical conclusion that our information in defining God as limited is false.

We also must simply appreciate that it is the ego tendency to see always less.

The ego’s ideology assumes scarcity and thus, we generally just assume the ego’s false idea is true because the ego always perceives lack.

The bottom line of the Course is to get into a place where we get out of the way and allow God to be as big as God is. 

Our job is to sit there and wonder without any assumptions. 

Just enjoy the infinite possibility of God’s limitlessness.

We get into our own spaciousness within when we give God all the room He needs.

This feels totally elevated and happy because we are not bringing the ego’s dense limitation. 

Just sit and appreciate it and allow God to show us how grand things are.
