Lesson 91: “Miracles are seen in light.”
This lesson says, “The miracle is always there. Its presence is not caused by your vision; its absence is not your failure to see.”
The Course teaches us to fully comprehend that the miracle is always there. We can get so wrapped up in what we are doing, that we simply start to believe we are abandoned by God. We start to ask ourselves, “Is God there at all?” When we get wrapped up in the ego’s lair, we simply forget that God is readily available. This seems like a far cry from the truth. Jesus tells us here that God is always ready to help, always present for our support to get a shift in consciousness. God teaches us that the miracle is sometimes hidden but never for the reason of its actual absence. All we have to do is realize that we just have to bring it to our awareness.
The miracle has never left us. God gave us the miracle because God wants us to feel safe, taken care of and supported. When we know there is no way to miss the miracle then we become defenseless again as the Course instructs us to be. We can rely on the miracle to be ready to make our dream as inhabitants of this world a happy dream.
The miracle is the way we realize that nothing was ever wrong. When we judge what we see, we need to step back and realize that our attachment to such pain is going to hurt us indefinitely. What we need to do is realize that the miracle is readily there for us to make use of all the time.
This miracle is the shift in consciousness. The miracle is our return to love. When our ego finds fault with the world, the miracle is the magical shift in our energy and intention that then leads us to peace instead. Peace is always the eventual destination of our mind when we bring the miracle to what we see.
And this lesson teaches us that all we have to do is know that the miracle is always with us. Therefore, we don’t have to deny its strength and potency which in effect changes what we feel. The miracle is the trusty steed that never leaves our side because this is the will of God. We have to simply understand that we lose our way occasionally and forget the miracle is our true right and function. The beauty is that the perfect life exists for us as the miracle applied unreservedly. All we have to do is keep it fresh in our minds so it is always available to apply.
