Lesson 354: “What am I?”  “We stand together, Christ and I, in peace and certainty of purpose.  And in Him is His Creator, as He is in me.”

This is the blessing we could say each day as we reaffirm grounding ourselves in our center.  We stand because we want to make an active contribution to the grand gestures in life.  We stand as a way to be seen and recognized as a way to assert what God says is true.  This is why standing is a beautiful way to start.  It is quiet and not an overpowering gesture.  It just communicates to any audience who is watching that we are here.  I exist and I show up as one individual in God’s kingdom. I make whatever effort and willingness is required to show up as extending and living in our common purpose with God.  This is what our standing means.  It doesn’t mean we force anyone to follow in our footsteps.  Everyone else may go a different path.  But when we stand up we simply assert that we alone are participating in whatever God’s agenda is.

The Christ is the collective consciousness we have in the Godly realm.  Christ is not one person specifically.  The Course says that the Christ is inclusive of everyone who appears to be an individual.  The Christ includes all of us who are living in God’s purpose.  The Christ Sonship of all brothers and sisters includes everyone in their God mind and energy.  We are all holy as the Christ and sinless as well, just like Jesus and all others.

When we live in our certainty of purpose we are totally cleared of having multiple agendas.  When we live in certainty of purpose we are in no way in conflict because we have only one plan and one direction.  We simply need to be willing to stay centered in God focus.  The reason we want to be clear in certainty of our purpose is because the conflict free life is a happy one.  This is the way to peace of mind.  This is why we want to be vigilant to stay focused on God’s plan.  This is the only successful way to be in peace.  That means we must be vigilant to maintain our quality of life.
