Lesson 158: Today I learn to give as I receive.
The sentence that stands out for me in this lesson is, “Christ’s vision does not look upon a body, and mistake it for t he Son whom God created. It beholds a light beyond the body; an idea beyond what can be touched, a purity undimmed by errors, pitiful mistakes, and fearful thoughts of guilt from dreams of sin.”
Newsflash!!!!!
God loves us so much that He established within all of us, a purity so powerful and consistent that it is entirely undimmed by errors.
We have God standing there- being with us- while we do everything.
God has ultra power, because He is the (only) Supreme Being, so as long as we can trust that God is as powerful as He is, then we can relax, and we can trust that God includes us energetically.
Therefore, God and all of us are in the state of perfect innocence.
God wants us to know that we are totally lovable, and worthy, and innocent- to the core- because God wills it this way.
Thus, there is no way that things can be any other way- because it is God’s Will. This is a done deal.
Our only real task is to practice remembering this.
It may feel like a stretch for us, because the ego is always running its internal dialogue within us, bellowing up a storm, with a level of self- hatred and self-disgust that is almost intolerable.
The ego is frozen solid in this self- perpetuating motion of attack, so we will get a deranged level of fiery insult, when we don’t stay cautious about keeping the ego in a state of serenity.
Our egos like to make problems, so just be aware and catch this the instant it happens.
We want to give the ego a firm, but also gentle, and loving hand.
If we forget to be kind and gentle with the ego, this will result in causing us- on some level- a further resistance about our vigilance over choosing rather our thinking-with-finesse (when we choose God).
We need to give the ego permission to be upset about our insistence the ego stay in a place of serenity.
And give the ego permission to be heard.
But with that easy hand, we also want to remind the ego that this higher level of elevation is the most ideal place, so we can make sure the ego knows this.
Then, the ego will then be less resistant to making changes.
Try to remind our ego selves that we are totally lovable.
When we feel lovable, we act lovable, so the ego will show up differently, with way less resistance, when we remember to feel and embody the loving part of us.
This always ameliorates a bit of the ego’s rigid lock on resistance. Thus, it is well worth doing.
All love,
