Lesson 142: Review: “My mind holds only what I think with God.” “I thank my Father for His gifts to me.” “Let me remember I am one with God.”

The Course is teaching us to live in our certainty.  We are asked to apply this without reserve to any aspect of our lives.  I know I watch more my own mind especially in the last few years and I laugh because the moment my thoughts turn to fear, some accident or mishap occurs in my day or life.  I have been watching how this seems to happen without any lapse.  The world just mirrors my fear and gives me what I don’t want.  We are so lucky to live in this world and be able to see the reflection of our minds.  We have proof instantly when we have moments of losing connection to our certainty.  The world is such a true mirror.

I have been experimenting with my own certainty.  It does also seem almost hard to believe the world is so predictable in bringing the reflection of some problem when I let it be there.  It’s a tremendous lesson in being certain.  We must be absolutely committed to our certainty.  We have to stay at the task and practice of being in our certainty no matter what.  This is the only way to end suffering in the world.

We can’t always stop every unfortunate thing from happening in our worlds.  There will be times we just don’t know the purpose of the challenge.  However, this will be few and far between because we are living in the energy of certainty consciousness.  When we do our part, then we can at least feel powerful in the world no matter what happens because we are acting in a totally empowered way.  Our certainty is always the path to our peace.

This also seems so straightforward and obvious.  Jesus talks about our certainty in thousands of different ways.  What we need to do is maintain the seriousness of our commitment to live in this mindset.
