Lesson 348: What is a miracle?” “I have no cause for anger or for fear, for You surround me. And in every need that I perceive, Your grace suffices me.”
This lesson says, “Surrounding me is perfect safely.”
We are engulfed in the bliss of perfect safety.
When we have God’s protection, then absolutely nothing causes us grief.
The only problem in the world is that we get anxious about what may or may not happen.
And then often in response to the world, we get angry over what we perceive to have happened. It is always our insistence on expecting the world to be a certain way that causes us pain.
It always occurs with that mad tiny idea that there is a problem out there.
The Course is reminding us to reassess everything.
We take it all in and see it, and we allow some distance between us an the ego’s perspective.
When we allow just a bit of perspective, then we realize there is nothing that we would ever need to agonize over.
Just this hint of the truth is all we need just to prevent the insanity from morphing into a fateful blow where we believe our annihilation is predestined.
All we need is a very small space within us that is willing to see the situation from the mind of light.
It is the smallest amount of effort needed to completely alter a situation from some present or future affliction.
It is always the smallest extent of output we need internally or externally.
We just need to show up with our minds and hearts available to the mystery of healing, a mere morsel of muscle. And this is a miracle of healing indeed.
We don’t know how or why we are going to heal, but God can be our answer for us. We just need to interject God into the situation.
The problem is always that we forget God, and this is why our recovery and healing are waylaid.
The truly phenomenal part of the equation is that God wants us to heal, and so we will always hear God within us, when we are quiet enough to listen to His inner promptings.
We then, stand up and join with Him in Purpose for our lasting healing that is always available in the situation, when we allow it.
