Lesson 175“ God is but Love and therefore so am I.” “I give the miracles I have received.” “I am at home. Fear is the stranger here.”

The introduction says, “We will wait for experience and realize that it is only there that conviction lies. We use the words and try and try again to go beyond them to their meaning far beyond their sound. The sound grows dim and disappears as we approach the source of meaning. It is here we find rest.”

The Course says that experience is holy and sacred and of God. Experience is the way to get God because it is when we truly feel and behave in our best interest. We need to have the experience in life before God blesses us.

The Course reminds us to be extra confident we act in appropriate ways according to God, meaning we need to know that we are perfectly holy and sinless all the time. God loves us so much because this is the way God is.

God Loves and cares for us like a parent, like the best parent we can have, and therefore, God is constantly showering on top of us with abundance and sweet gestures as we venture through life because God wants us to be happy and fulfilled.

God wants us to know we are sinless and incapable of doing anything that will make us lose our favor from God. The only problem is that we forget how much God loves us and that our abundance and salvation are a done deal, so the Course over and over reminds us to remember so that we get to live so well because we are so blessed.

The ego makes us forget our sinless nature and our abundance. The Course tells us repeatedly to remind ourselves of this.

The Course reminds us in the book that after we finish reading the Course, we should throw it away. What happened primarily with religion in the western world is that they make religions complete with people who make the various religions into idols.

They are so narrow-minded, and they treat their churches like idols. And those religions say that God would not love all of us. They have concrete ways of dealing with people; they believe sin is actual and people are generally not forgiven unless they stick to living by stringent rules.

I always love this about the Course. The Course asks us to throw out the book when we finish reading, so we do not start to idolize the Course and twist the messages into ones where it is possible to let people who read the Course get rigid in thinking.

The Course reminds us to stay aware and not get to act like the Course is an idol. God wants us to steal clear of this thinking about the Course. Lock it away before It does damage.

I think, generally, western religions have some good and helpful content from the Bible and the churches that want to live in ways that the Bible teaches.

That is why they created churches so we can have a place to go to hear about and learn how the Bile inspires us to live. But those churches generally distorted the Bible and emphasized twisting the Bible’s message, so I think that many western religions got distorted.

I am grateful that the Course corrects lots of these distortions that western religions came up with in standard faiths here.
