ACIM Lesson 203

Lesson 203: Review: “I am not a body.  I am free.  For I am still as God created me.” “I call upon God’s name and on my own.”

Lesson 183 says, “Say His Name, and you invite the angels to surround the ground on which you stand, and sing to you as they spread out their wings to keep you safe, and shelter you from every worldly thought that would intrude upon your holiness.” 

This lesson reminds us how extraordinary God is and how fortunate we are to be His blessed children.

We learn in the Course that God is supremely powerful and perfect beyond what we can comprehend and that God totally loves us and accepts us as His children. 

Since we are God’s beloved children, we are blessed with all of God’s love and favor and worldly abundance.  We just have to remember it and accept it.

God has already established that our favor and God’s good will toward us is always in the maximal position. 

God is always giving us the best of the best.  This is a done deal.  The Course invites us to simply acknowledge this and accept it.  We don’t have to do anything to get on the receiving end of all this because God has already established that.  All we have to do is realize this and accept it.  Thus, we have nothing to do but simply change our minds about what we believe is true.  We just have to let God do His thing.  We don’t have to do anything at all.

This is ever so important because we- in our ego thinking- generally believe there is all kinds of stress and drama as the result of our every day life.  The Course says the totally opposite thing.  It is actually totally simple and straightforward.

There is no way we can lose our way because God wills for us to be with Him in heaven and that means this is already accomplished.  

I am so grateful for this lovely image in this sentence, because it is beautiful and inspires me to open my heart to God because getting to heaven seems so gentle and lovely. 

It makes me want to get right to it because it is such a happy, wonderful thing to do.  

We are reminded how strong God is.

We don’t have to do anything except say His name, and this is plenty to put us into a mindset of feeling empowered and certain. 

When we feel so good emotionally and energetically, then everything we see in the world we can approach above the battleground since we trust that God is with us.

God gives us all the support we need to stay grounded, focused, and appropriately behaving in the realm of what is best for us to do to heal ourselves and heal the world. 

We are bound to see the nightmare over and over in the world.

It is always showing us a more complicated, more deadly, and more difficult conundrum.  

The world is the insane place.

But all we need to do is just think of God.  Remembering that we have God as our number one helper is all we need to have the confidence to meet the situation with a light heart.

Then, we can bring blessings as we go because we know we are doing it all with God. 

Simply connecting with God’s energy in our minds and hearts is all we need  to do to save everyone, including ourselves. 

This is why saying God’s name is the perfect antidote for the world’s problems. 

We just need to remember God and we carry God’s energy with us to the situation.

We can bring the miracle, because the miracle is simply one expression of God.
